In order to ensure everybody is in the same page, you must have read all those news posts. After reading those news posts, you must read the following news post and sign your name at the bottom by using your main acccunt to comment.

BY SAYING "I agree to the terms and conditions" YOU AGREE THAT YOU WILL:

- Follow the rules and guidelines stated in this rulebook
- Be respectful amongst each other and with commenting users
- Prevent abuse of the account
- Do not send other users the password to the account - only you are to keep the password, even if you're sending it to someone who is an image mod but lost the password. If you lose the password you should come to me and PM me and I'll give it out.

If you infringe these rules you may be given a punishment depending on the severity of the offense. The punishment can range from a warning to being kicked out of the image mod team. Stuff like not archiving an abusive review for the abusive review image archive will not be given a punishment of any type, but an unauthorized deletion of a PM or news post or being rude will consititute a consequence. In a nutshell - be nice, do your job, don't do stuff that you're not allowed to do and you will be absolutely fine.

IF YOU DO NOT AGREE WITH THESE RULES, THEN YOU MAY RESIGN YOUR POSITION AS AN IMAGE MOD AND LEAVE THE TEAM. YOU ARE STILL ALLOWED TO SUBMIT IMAGES BUT YOU MAY NOT MODERATE THE WHOLE ARCHIVE.

BY SIGNING THIS AGREEMENT, YOU GIVE ME, NGREVIEWEATER/ZOMBICIDLE, THE RIGHT TO CHANGE THESE RULES (not abusively like you agree and then I change the rulebook to be something totally unfair) ACCORDINGLY AND YOU SHALL FOLLOW THEM. You MUST read the terms and conditions (AKA these 20 or so news posts explaining everything) once a year and sign your name every year to ensure you have pledged that you have read those news posts. Failure to do so will result in being kicked out of the image mod team. You have until February 1st of the new year to agree to the conditions by commenting below (unless you request an extension in case you don't have the time to read everything before February 1st).

Work together, follow the rules, stay together, cooperate with each other, contribute (if you can), have fun and enjoy the ride!

CURRENT SIGNATURE DUE DATE: February 1st, 2011

I totally understand that reading all those news posts can be a complete pain in the ass and boring, but everybody must keep straight what you're allowed to do and can't do. So if you can't be bothered to read all those news posts, here's a summary of most of them in this news post. NOTE: This does not cover absolutely everything in the rules, so it is still recommended you read the other rules (you should read them especially when you're bored and have nothing to do).

The news posts:
-
-
-
-
-
-
-
-
-
-
-
-

(include a brief summary of them)

Be nice to each other, ONLY use the account features you were assigned to use, do what you are supposed to do (moderate the comments section, post images when instructed or when you saved one, follow the news post format properly, etc). Do not use a spam bot without sending a PM to both Tom and Wade notifying them that you're using it, and do not leave blank posts within the archive. If an image is submitted, please get to it as soon as possible and post it to the archive (after reviewing it of course).

Anything that needs to be sent to all 5 image mods should be sent to the image archive account via PM, such as passwords to NG accounts that contains images in their dumping grounds that are linked to in the archive. Or alternatively you can send 5 separate PMs to the separate mod accounts, though that's not recommended (if one mod gets hacked the image archive is vulnerable to damage).

If you do not want to give the image mods the passwords to Dumping Grounds accounts, then that's fine but you MUST send it to NGReviewEater (me) so that I can keep a record of them. You are NOT allowed to use those accounts for ANY reason - except for their dumping grounds. Do not give out the password to anyone else even if you're giving it to another image mod who simply lost it - if you have lost the password contact me and I will give it out to you. If another image mod is needed, I will choose a user to become one - do not nominate any image mods yourself.

Being an image mod has its own useful benefits, but do not show it off. If someone asks to be an image mod, keep a record of them. People who ask for image mod status will never get them, so keep track of people who asks for image mod status. You actually want to be selfish and only reap the image mod benefits to yourself than giving it out to other people, so keep that concept in mind and the unworthy people will never get elected.

Once again, this is the nutshell of the job an image mod must do. This does not cover everything, so make sure to read the other posts. Or at least SKIM the posts - that itself is better than skipping entirely. Simply take a 30 second overview of each psot so you get a better picture. Ideally you should read everything, so try to do that when you have the time.

This image archive, with rigorous amounts of hard work and effort put into it, can be considered as a huge BBS/abusive review guide, although that is not the purpose of the archive. However since abusive reviews comprise of a fair amount of the image archive and there are over 4,000 images that contain at least 1 abusive review in it, a large section of the archive will be an abusive review guide. There WILL be questions from users that ask about abusive reviews and why something is abusive and something isn't.

To ensure maximum accuracy of the data presented to users, if you do not know the answer to a question a user asked, do NOT reply to it. It is better to stay quiet than to give out mis-information. If you're not sure if you know the answer but have SOME idea as to why it is abusive, do not reply to the comment. If you are 100% confident you know the answer, reply to the comment. Sign your name as usual when you're done with the comment. If you see some image mod who left a completely wrong answer to a comment, you are allowed to delete the incorrect answer (this is one exception to deleting someone's reply to a comment) and replace it with the correct answer. If an image mod left an answer that you are not sure is correct, leave the answer there and add in your own answer.

If you have found an abusive review lying around on Newgrounds, you are expected to capture it into a screenshot and post it on the image archive. Upon posting it you are expected to pinpoint the review (like the username of the user who wrote the review unless you cropped out the review only) and write an explanation why it is abusive under the "Description" section of each image post. Do NOT post a screenshot of a review you mis-flagged or a review you flagged that you are not sure if it's abusive or not. Only post blatant (obvious) abusive reviews. If you come across in a news post an incorrect explanation of why a review is abusive, you are allowed to edit it. Upon editing, you're expected to also write your name under the "Posted by:" field with the other image mod who posted the review on the news post. DO NOT CENSOR OUT THE USER NAME OF THE ABUSIVE REVIEW IN THE IMAGE. While the image archive does not attempt to call out certain user(s) and laugh at them for their reviews, almost all of the already-captured images do not have the user name of the abusive review censored and we would like to keep it consistent with that standard.

Similarly, there have been spam threads and abusive posts that have been captured into images before the offending thread/post was deleted. The same concept applies to abusive reviews (listed above).

This image archive, with some accidental planning, is designed to explain abusive reviews and flagging and BBS abuse so well that no guide on Newgrounds, including the Newgrounds PDF Guide, could explain it better than the image archive can. It is designed so that someone who knows absolutely NOTHING about flagging can go through all the news posts and walk out of the image archive knowing what is abusive and what isn't like those so-called "review gurus" out there on NG. While this whole idea of the image archive being an abusive review guide was purely coincidental and unintentional, it's best to keep it as it currently is.
